Editing AVCHD Using Premiere Pro CS4

Here is another great video from David Teubner of HowNowVideo.com.The 9-Minute Video, focuses on editing AVCHD from the HMC150, using Premiere Pro CS4.

David begins the video, demonstrating how CPU intensive using AVCHD can be, by scrubbing across the time-line while editing a AVCHD file. He goes on to note the option of trans-coding the files, by using MainConcept's AVCHD transcoder program. While transcoding decreases the CPU usage of the AVCHD/MTS files, the size of the transcoded files becomes significantly larger. Specifically, the DVCPro HD resulting file, can become enormous.

Perhaps the most helpful portion of this video for me, was MTS files joining. He goes on to demonstrate using a free MTS Merger program, to join the files.

This video is definitely worth the time. Very informative for me.
